World record stunt driver Terry Grant wowed the crowd at Vospers today with a 45 minute stunt extravaganza culminating in the setting of a world record for the highest number of donuts spun in 100 seconds. A huge 39 donuts achieved in the time left the crowd dizzy but not Terry the showman who was still cool as a cucumber.

The donut spinning record, which was inspired by the launch of the 100 Hour Used Car Sale, is yet another achievement to add to Terry’s ever growing list of accolades. He is recognised as one of the decade’s top ten record breakers by Guinness and among his records are the ‘Tightest Parallel Park in Reverse’ and the ‘Furthest Distance Travelled in a Car on Two Wheels’.

During the motoring spectacular Terry showcased his unrivalled talent behind the wheel with J turns and precision manoeuvres. Some of his signature moves drew the biggest gasps from the watching crowd. At one point he began donut spinning and stood on the roof of his car and even walked away from the moving vehicle while it still span, much to the amazement of the watching crowd. The most shocked faces came from the Vospers’ team themselves as Terry pulled them from the crowd to perform very tight donuts around them. A few of them got a free shoe polish!

Many of the stunts were performed in a brand new Renault Clio while the record attempt was driven in Terry’s trusty stunt vehicle, The Legend, which is based on a 1937 Ford Sedan at 5/8 scale.
An unforgettable day for the team and those who came along to get a slice of the action. Now comes the challenge of deciding how to mark the launch of next year’s 100 Hour Used Car Sale in even bigger style.
