Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Alex Bass of Vospers Mazda recently had the pleasure of handing over the keys to a brand new Mazda2 to Tony White of Combe Martin.
Tony, owner of Aladdin’s Cave in Lynmouth said “I have always been a great supporter of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. They do such an amazing job and we recognise especially in our rural part of the county just what an essential service it provides.”
He added “Our family has particular reason to support Air Ambulances in general. My niece Abigail was airlifted in Buckinghamshire after a road traffic accident. Her boyfriend sadly passed away. More recently my Son Andrew’s father in law was airlifted by Devon Air Ambulance after falling off a ladder after suffering a stroke. He is making steady progress thanks to the quick medical assistance he received.”
Tony sold his book of tickets to customers but there were two tickets left in the book so before sending them back he decided to buy them himself – one of them being the winning ticket!
Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said “We would like to thank Peter Vosper and Vospers Mazda for their continued support of the Charity. Providing the car at a substantially reduced rate to us really does make a huge difference and means more of the money raised goes straight into keeping our two helicopters flying. When we add on the amount raised this year it means over the past eight years over half a million pounds has been raised through the draw!”
Alex Bass of Vospers Mazda said “Handing over a new car to someone is always a great thing to be able to do. Being able to support the community and in particular Devon Air Ambulance Trust, a cause close to our hearts at Vospers Mazda at the same time is fantastic!
