For those drivers who’ve been admiring the all new Mazda6, Mazda MX-5 or Mazda CX-5 from a distance now could be the time to book yourself a test drive. Vospers has launched a ‘Surprising Drives’ initiative to give drivers the opportunity to win ultimate test drive experiences.
As part of the project, Vospers has teamed up with Mazda to offer one lucky customer from each of the three Mazda dealerships across Devon and Cornwall, the chance of an incredible driving experience at the exciting Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire.
Created around the same time as Silverstone in the fifties, Castle Combe is one of the longest established circuits in the UK and is located on the site of an old air base. With the likes of ultimate motorsports legend, Sir Stirling Moss winning a race on the circuit in its first year, the circuit put its mark on the motorsports map early on.
The seventies saw new ownership and renovation for the circuit which saw it become the modern, national venue that it is today. Again legends of the track made their marks quite literally on the circuit from Nigel Mansell to David Coulthard, Barry Sheene and Ayrton Senna.
One of the circuit’s biggest fans is none other than Jeremy Clarkson who claimed
“It’s a fierce track, one of the fastest in Britain.”
Praise indeed from the TV legend. The track has played host to Top Gear on more than one occasion so race participants today can enjoy the fact that they are following in the tyre tracks of the Stig, Clarkson, Hammond and May.
Today the circuit buzzes with championship events, corporate race days and more and this September it will also play host to three Vospers customers taking a Mazda test drive. Whether hammering it down the Farm Straight or zooming around the hair-raising Quarry Corner, Castle Combe is bound to reveal the best that the all new Mazda models have to offer.
Everyone who takes a Vospers test drive in a Mazda6, Mazda MX-5 or Mazda CX-5 during August this year will be eligible to enter the competition.
