Peugeot has announced that the new Peugeot 208 and the latest addition to its all-electric model range, the new E-208, are open for orders!
Background
The new 208 was the best-selling car in Europe last year, and it is sure to make as much impact in the UK. With new design, new powertrains and new technologies, the 208 has the credentials the UK’s new favourite.

Since the model’s launch in Europe, more than a million 208 models have been sold. The 208 has occupyied the top spot in European sales charts in both 2021 and 2022. As well as this, in 2022 the E-208 become Europe’s best-selling electric car in the B-segment. The new 208 and E-208 are available in a choice of four trims. Active, Allure, GT, and, the limited edition, E-Style. All of which are available with a range of engines.

The New Peugeot 208 Design Features
The new 208 and E-208 feature the three long vertical light claws to give the car a distinctive and feline look. The GT versions, also feature three striking light claws but they are extended upwards into the full LED headlights using three independent optical modules. Allure and GT versions boast an evolving body-coloured pattern that blends into the bumper to push the new 208 into a modern era of PEUGEOT design.
The brand’s emblematic rear light signature has been reinvented on this model. The light signature is accented by three horizontal LED red claws. The GT versions, reversing lights and indicators are also LED. The new 208 and E-208 are available in seven awesome body colours. Two of which are completely new: Selenium Grey can be selected for the first time on the new 208, while Agueda Yellow has been introduced exclusively for the new 208.
The New Peugeot 208 I-Cockpit
Now even more advanced, connected and ergonomic than ever. The new PEUGEOT 208 and E-208 are equipped with the latest-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. Wireless MirrorScreen is now standard on Active, Allure and GT versions, whilst, Allure and GT models now come with the PEUGEOT i-Connect infotainment system. This comes with with the option to upgrade to i-Connect Advanced, featuring TomTom® Live navigation and natural voice recognition.
All new 208 models in Active, Allure and GT trim also come with a 10-inch central touchscreen as standard. The E-Style versions, however, retains the 7-inch central touchscreen. As well as this, a new 2D digital instrument panel with new graphics has been installed on the Allure trim. The GT trim benefits from a new 3D Quartz instrument panel.
If these upgrades aren’t enough, the compact steering wheel offers more agility and precision than ever. Incorporating the new PEUGEOT shield at its centre as well as hosting the controls for the infotainment system, volume and voice control. GT versions also feature dynamic ambient lighting with a choice of eight colours.
Next Level Electrification
PEUGEOT 208 customers have never such a varied choice of powertrains, with all-electric, Hybrid and petrol variants now available in the range.
The all-new E-208 can be purchased with either a 136hp electric motor coupled with a 50 kWh battery, or a 156hp electric motor and 51kWh battery. Capable of up to 225 (WLTP certification under approval) and 248 miles, respectively. A 7kW single-phase onboard charger is also supplied as standard on all E-208 models. A three-phase 11kW onboard charger is available as an option. A 20-80% charge takes less than 30 minutes when using a 100kW DC rapid charger.
For the first time ever, the PEUGEOT 208 is available with two new self-charging hybrid powertrains! Delivering 100hp and 136hp, with a new e-DCS6 dual-clutch electrified 6-speed gearbox which includes an electric motor. The self-charging battery allows extra torque at low revs as well as up to 15% lower fuel consumption. The new 208 HYBRID 100 and HYBRID 136 can operate in zero-emission all-electric mode for more than 50% of the time.
