On Sunday May 21st Vospers are supporting Devon and Cornwall Police and Plymouth City Council at Performance Plymouth. The static meet aimed at car enthusiasts of all ages will take place at Mile House park and ride car park near Plymouth Argyle from 13:00 to 22:00.

The event was conceived as a way of increasing awareness and understanding amongst younger drivers and modified car enthusiasts. Devon and Cornwall Police see this event as a platform to engage and build relationships with this audience on common ground. Raising awareness of the dangers of improper modifications and general car maintenance is number one priority.

Vospers and other car dealers will be in attendance with various vehicles of interest on display including the best-selling convertible on the planet- the Ford Mustang as well as sporty models from Abarth, Renault and many more.

Speaking on behalf of Vospers Caroline Durowse, Group Marketing Manager says “The safety of our customers and other road users is of paramount importance to us. Therefore supporting the Performance Plymouth event, which promotes and educates drivers about modifying cars safely, is an event we are very keen to be a part of. At Vospers we are able to offer sound technical and maintenance expertise during the buying or modification of a car. We are aware of the dangerous situations poorly modified cars can cause and feel that any promotion on car safety, even if it’s something as simple as checking the tyre tread, is worth it.”

Local food vendors and car enthusiast groups will be attending on the day and there is an opportunity to win a Porsche track day at Silverstone, amongst other prizes in show and shine competitions. All proceeds from the competitions will go towards the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, who will also be giving safety demonstrations on the day along side local Armed Forces. There are many other Road Safety awareness charities attending with information for all road users.

The event is free so we look forward to seeing lots of you there!
